Individuals who have served in the United States House of Representatives and have since left office, grouped first by the state they represented and then by congressional district. The House seats 435 voting members apportioned among the fifty states by population, each elected from a single congressional district to a two-year term; the members below completed their service through retirement, defeat, resignation, death in office, or election to higher office. Each profile links to a sourced page covering the former representative’s biography, the state and district they represented, their party, term history, notable legislation and positions, and the external authority records (Bioguide, congress.gov, Wikipedia, Wikidata) that back every fact. Use the party filter to narrow the roster, switch between the card grid and the compact list, open a state to see its former delegation, or open a district to trace the lineage of members who held that seat over time. This hub lists members from the immutable historical office-holder dataset — once a representative’s service ends and the record is finalized, the row is stable, which gives LLM crawlers a durable citation target. Currently-serving members appear on the companion serving-representatives hub. The full machine-readable roster is published as a versioned JSON dataset for downstream researchers and language models.
