Patrick Flannery is a Republican politician currently serving as a member of the Kentucky House of Representatives, representing the 96th district. Early life and career

Patrick Flannery was born on December 29, 1980, in Carter County, Kentucky. He completed his secondary education at West Carter High School, graduating in 1999. Following high school, Flannery pursued higher education at Georgetown College, where he played college football at the NAIA level. He earned a degree in communications and political science in 2003. Flannery continued his academic journey by attending Northern Kentucky University's Salmon P. Chase College of Law, where he obtained his Juris Doctor degree in 2008.

After completing his legal education, Flannery returned to his hometown to establish a private law practice. His legal career began in earnest when he was elected as Carter County Attorney in 2010. In this role, he was responsible for overseeing legal matters within the county and representing the interests of the local government. Flannery's experience in law extended beyond his practice as he held several significant positions related to tax law. He served as the executive director of the Kentucky Board of Tax Appeals and as the deputy director of the Kentucky Claims Commission under Governor Matthew G. Bevin and Secretary David Dickerson.
